We are an un/traditional breakfast, lunch, and high tea restaurant located in the charming Northern California coastal town of Half Moon Bay.

You’ll find some traditional menu offerings that you might expect from a tea house, and then there will be some surprises!

And although the restaurant is in a 1903 house-turned-restaurant, you’ll not only see Victorian decor, we hope you enjoy the pieces from other eras (for example, we love Art Nouveau and Art Deco!). We’re busy painting the outside and inside, and will post pictures very soon! (Feel free to say hello if you see us covered in paint, haha!)

We also have a HEATED, DOG-FRIENDLY PATIO! (This makes us VERY happy!!)

Breakfast

By the Teashore will have a lovely selection of traditional and non-traditional breakfast items such as custard-baked French toast, quiche, oatmeal with stewed berries, yogurt parfaits, scones, and other delicious treats. The menu will include gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Our loose leaf teas will include black, green, white, oolong, pu-erh, and herbal.

Lunch

Your lunch selections at By the Teashore will include fare such as lamb & mushroom shepherd’s pie, chicken & leeks, soul-soothing soups and quiches, and of course, tea sandwiches & treats. The menu will include gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Our loose leaf teas will include black, green, white, oolong, pu-erh, and herbal.

For the TEAny Ones

We joyfully welcome our TEAny guests, and have a special kid-friendly menu that includes puffed pancakes with fresh strawberries, topsy-turvy eggs (scrambled, with nothing green in sight!), butterfly pasta with veggies, tea sandwiches, thyme-infused mac & cheese, etc. The menu will include gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
